"World Suicide Prevention Day (Viswa AtmahatteTadegattuvaDinacharane) is observed globally to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. In schools, this day is marked by organizing awareness programs, workshops focused on emotional well-being, and providing counselling support for students. The aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to seek help and engage in open discussions about mental health.
The event was presided over by Sapna R. Lobo, the Principal of KLE School, and inaugurated by Balamukund Rameshrao Mutalikdesai, a distinguished member of the District Law Services. Several organizations, including the District Lawyers' Association, District Panchayat, District Health and Family Welfare Department, District Mental Health Department, Police Department, Excise Department, Public Relations Department, and General Public Relations Department, came together to support and promote the cause of mental health awareness."
